Stage 1: Registration and Minimum Eligibility Criteria

In this preliminary phase, candidates choosing IIM Kozhikode must adhere to the minimum eligibility criteria:

• Graduation Degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
• For candidates without a Graduation Degree, completion of CA/CMA(ICWA)/CS with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
• A combination of Graduation Degree and CA/CMA(ICWA)/CS must meet the specified criteria.
• CAT Score Percentile requirements for various categories (GEN, OBC-NCL/EWS, SC, ST/PwD).

Stage 2: Shortlisting for WAT and PI

CAT Index Score (45%)

Scaled scores from CAT 2023 in all three sections contribute to the CAT Index Score. As this holds the maximum weightage, a high percentile in CAT is crucial.

SSC/Class X Percentage Score (25%)

The Class X percentage score is adjusted based on the highest percentage score obtained in the Board. Candidates should aim for a high percentage in Class X to enhance this score.

HSC/Class XII Percentage Score (15%)

Similar to Class X, the Class XII percentage score is adjusted based on the highest percentage score obtained in the stream of that Board. Aiming for a high percentage is essential for a strong performance.

Gender/Academic Diversity Score (10%/5%)

Additional scores are awarded for gender or academic diversity. Female/transgender candidates receive a gender diversity score, while those with a non-Engineering/Technology background receive an academic diversity score.

Work Experience Score (5%)

Candidates with relevant work experience (6 months or above) can earn a work experience score. The length and nature of the experience impact the score.

Stage 3: Final Shortlist

Shortlisted candidates undergo a Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). The final scores are computed based on CAT 2023, PI, WAT, and Resume Score.
