Social Responsibility Rankings – Timed Quiz
Time left: 15:00

DIRECTIONS for Questions 1 to 5:

The top fifteen Indian Companies, based on their turnover, are ranked according to the amount that they spend towards the welfare of the society. These ranks are termed as Social Responsibility Ranks (S.R.s). The following table has been drawn in order to represent the Comparative S.R. (i.e., C.S.R.) of each company with respect to each of the other companies. However, the values in only some of the cells in the table are known.

In the table given, the companies are arranged from the top row to the bottom row (and from the leftmost column to the rightmost column) in the decreasing order of their turnovers. For example, the turnover of O.N.G. is more than that of R.I.

Note: The Comparative Social Responsibility Ranking (C.S.R.) of a Company X, with respect to another company Y = (S.R. of X) – (S.R. of Y).

X \ Y O.N.G. R.I. INFS I.O. WIPR B.T.V. I.T.C.C. S.B. ICICB R.B.X. S.A.I. T.SI. B.H.E. G.A.I. H.L.
O.N.G.--6
R.I.--3
INFS-54
I.O.-
WIPR--43
B.T.V.1-4
I.T.C.C.8-9
S.B.-
ICICB-5-2
R.B.X.2-
S.A.I.-
T.SI.-7
B.H.E.6--3
G.A.I.-
H.L.1-

For example, from the above table, the C.S.R. of O.N.G. with respect to INFS is -6. Therefore (S.R. of O.N.G.) - (S.R. of INFS) = -6, and hence, the C.S.R. of INFS with respect to O.N.G. will be -(-6), i.e., 6.

Q1. What is the value of the C.S.R. of O.N.G. with respect to H.L.?

Q2. How many of the given companies, which are ranked better (i.e., numerically lower) than I.T.C.C. in Social Responsibility rankings have a higher turnover than I.T.C.C.?

Q3. Which of the following additional information would definitely help us find the C.S.R. of each company, with respect to each of the other companies?

Q4. If the S.R. of WIPR is known, the S.R. of which of the following companies cannot be determined?

Q5. If the C.S.R. of S.B. with respect to G.A.I. is greater than the C.S.R. of H.L. with respect to I.O., then the S.R. of how many of the fifteen companies can be found?
