Introduction
The Department of Commerce, Delhi University, offers MBA programs with specializations in Human Resource Development (HRD), International Business (IB), and Business Analytics (BA). The admission process involves a two-layered approach, considering both eligibility criteria and final admission selection criteria.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission, Indian students must have a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Delhi or an equivalent recognized institution, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. The relaxation of eligibility for reserved category students follows university rules. Candidates must also appear for the CAT 2023 conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs).
Foreign Nationals need a minimum GMAT score of 650. Additionally, they may be considered for admission under the 10% quota prescribed for foreign students.
Final Admission Selection Criteria
The final admission selection criteria have been simplified to streamline the admission process. Applicants will be directly admitted based on the following criteria:
Criteria | Weightage | Remarks |
---|---|---|
CAT Score | 80% | Computed using Overall Scaled Score Obtained / Maximum Score * 100 |
Class X Marks | 10% | Marks obtained in Class X (All Subjects) will be considered |
Class XII Marks | 10% | Marks obtained in Class XII (All Subjects) will be taken into account |
Note: Negative CAT Scores will not be considered.
The following grading system will be applied to Class X and XII marks:
Percentage Range | Grade |
---|---|
95% and more | 10 |
More than 90% but less than 95% | 9 |
More than 85% but less than 90% | 8 |
More than 80% but less than 85% | 7 |
More than 75% but less than 80% | 6 |
More than 70% but less than 75% | 5 |
More than 65% but less than 70% | 4 |
More than 60% but less than 65% | 3 |
More than 55% but less than 60% | 2 |
More than 50% but less than 55% | 1 |
Less than 50% | 0 |
This simplified admission process eliminates the need for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Applicants are encouraged to apply online, and the admission will be based on the merit list derived from CAT scores and marks obtained in Class X and Class XII.
