IIM Kozhikode PGP-Finance RTI Data

This page is built around the 3 things most MBA aspirants search for first: category-wise shortlist composite score, category-wise final selection composite score, and waitlist movement / offer depth. Since IIM Kozhikode PGP-Finance uses a different Stage 2 shortlist score and a different final score after WAT and PI, both are shown separately and prominently.

Shortlist CS first Final Selection CS second Waitlist data third Class composition included

IIM Kozhikode describes PGP-Finance as a two-year full-time masters-level programme aimed at careers in corporate finance, investment banking and wealth management. The official selection process uses a three-stage model, with shortlist based on an Aggregate Index Score and final admission based on WAT, PI and other components. That is why this page separates shortlist CS from final CS.

What most students want first

The latest completed batch on this page is 2025-27, so that is surfaced first.

Applications / Interest and Shortlist Volume

This helps students understand the depth of competition before looking at composite scores.

2023-25 120 486 324 22 191 57 1200
Trend note: Shortlist count stayed at 1200 in 2023-25 and 2024-26, then came down to 1000 in 2025-27, while the total interest/applicant pool remained very large.

1) Category-wise Composite Score for WAT / PI Shortlist

This is the most useful first table for serious applicants because it reflects actual shortlist thresholds by category, not just basic eligibility.

Batch Category Minimum CS Maximum CS

Quick read: The 2025-27 shortlist minimum CS is higher than 2024-26 in every category shown here. So the shortlist stage looks tighter in 2025-27 than in 2024-26.

2) Category-wise Composite Score for Final Selection

This table matters most after interview season because it reflects the final-offer score range by category.

Important: Do not compare shortlist CS and final CS as if they are the same metric. IIM Kozhikode uses one score for Stage 2 shortlist and another score after WAT + PI for final offers.

3) Waitlist Data

This is the most practical section for convert discussions, but the RTI format is different across the three years.

Batch EWS General NC-OBC PwD SC ST Interpretation
2025-27 20 29 45 2 36 15 Clean category-wise movement available
2024-26 Not readily available RTI reply explicitly says data not readily available
2023-25 Raw round-wise rows provided under Q10 Not a single clean category-wise aggregate row
Cleanest waitlist year here: 2025-27. For 2024-26, no category-wise movement figure is available in the attached reply. For 2023-25, the RTI shares multiple list-wise rows, so it is better to preserve the raw structure than to force a possibly misleading total.

Extra RTI Details Worth Keeping

These are not always available every year, but they help in deeper profile analysis.

Academic stream

2024-26 shortlist mix

Engineer: 754
Non-Engineer: 446

2025-27 stream-wise split was not available. 2023-25 reply says data was not considered for composite score calculation.

Professional profile

2023-25 extra detail

CA shortlisted: 61

Doctors & Lawyers were not readily available in 2023-25. 2024-26 and 2025-27 replies do not provide the requested split.

Availability note

WAT / PI marks

The attached replies do not provide the requested maximum and average WAT / PI marks for 2024-26 and 2025-27.

The replies state that the PIO is not supposed to create or interpret information that is not already held in the requested format.

Official IIM Kozhikode PGP-Finance Formula: Why two composite scores exist

The official process clearly separates Stage 2 shortlist from final admission after WAT and PI.

Stage 2 shortlist

Aggregate Index Score (AIS)

Quantitative sectional score 20%
DI sectional score 20%
Class X 10%
Class XII 15%
Work experience 10%
PGP-Finance suitability score 20%
Gender diversity 5%

Final admission

Final score after WAT / PI

PI score 35%
WAT score 10%
Quantitative sectional score 15%
DI sectional score 15%
Work experience 10%
PGP-Finance suitability score 15%

Practical implication: A student may comfortably clear the shortlist threshold but still miss the final offer threshold after WAT and PI. So serious analysis should always read both tables together.

FAQ

Only the practical questions students usually ask.

Does IIM Kozhikode PGP-Finance use the same formula for shortlist and final selection?

No. The official process separates Stage 2 shortlist from final admission. That is why shortlist CS and final CS are shown in different sections on this page.

Why is 2024-26 waitlist movement not shown as numbers?

Because the attached RTI reply explicitly says the waitlist movement information was not readily available. It is better to show that honestly than to guess or back-calculate.

Why is 2023-25 waitlist data shown round-wise?

The 2023-25 RTI reply provides multiple raw rows under Q10 instead of one clean category-wise total movement row. So the page preserves the raw format.

Is CAT percentile alone enough to judge chances here?

No. IIM Kozhikode PGP-Finance shortlist and final selection both use multiple components. CAT performance matters, but academics, work experience, suitability score, gender diversity, WAT and PI also matter.

Need this same RTI format for other colleges too?

This page is built in the same student-friendly order that works best for MBA RTI intent: shortlist CS first, final selection CS second, waitlist / offer depth third, then class profile and official formula.
