IIM Shillong PGP RTI Data

This page is built around what CAT aspirants usually search first for IIM Shillong PGP: category-wise PI shortlist data, preliminary screening and academic-discipline shortlist logic, final offered composite score range, final offers versus final accepted count, historical waitlist movement, refund snapshot, and a separate current official admission-policy section.

Latest RTI cycle: 2025-27 PI Shortlist Data Preliminary Screening Final Composite Score Offers vs Accepts Official 2026-28 Policy

IIM Shillong PGP needs to be read in two layers. The uploaded 2025-27 and 2024-26 RTI replies give the clean category-wise final-offer and final-score picture, while the uploaded preliminary screening RTI is what explains the deeper shortlist logic through phase-1 screening counts, academic-discipline grouping and minimum composite score. This page keeps the historical RTI data separate from the current official 2026-28 admission-policy snapshot.

What most students want first

The newest uploaded RTI file is for PGP 2025-27. It gives clean final-offer and final-score data but does not provide maintained waitlist data. The deeper shortlist logic is better explained by the uploaded 2024-26 preliminary-screening RTI.

Latest PI shortlist
6,000

Latest uploaded category-wise shortlist count for IIM Shillong PGP 2025-27.

Latest final offers
1,647

Total final offers visible in the 2025-27 RTI reply.

Latest final accepted
403

Total accepted count visible in the 2025-27 RTI reply.

Offer-to-join rate
24.47%

403 accepted out of 1,647 final offers in the latest RTI cycle.

Latest waitlist data
NA

The 2025-27 RTI reply says waitlist data was not maintained / not calculated.

Most useful interpretation: for IIM Shillong PGP, the latest cycle is strongest on category-wise shortlist, final composite score range, final offers and final accepted count. For shortlist mechanics, the older preliminary-screening RTI is more revealing.

1) Category-wise PI Shortlist Data

This is the clean shortlist table students usually look for first. The uploaded 2024-26 and 2025-27 RTI replies show the same category-wise shortlist breakup.

Category 2025-27 shortlist Share 2024-26 shortlist Share
ST4507.50%4507.50%
SC90015.00%90015.00%
EWS60010.00%60010.00%
Others (OT)4,05067.50%4,05067.50%
Total6,000100%6,000100%
Important note: the RTI replies clearly say IIM Shillong does not compile AWAT scores. So there is no RTI-backed minimum or maximum AWAT composite score table to show here. The more reliable score table for students is the final offered composite score section below.
Also important: the same RTI replies say PGP shortlisting was not compiled on engineer vs non-engineer lines, and there is no separate shortlist category for CA, Doctors or Lawyers in the programme-wise RTI response.

2) Preliminary Screening Snapshot (2024-26 Phase 1)

This uploaded RTI is the most useful document for understanding the shortlist funnel before the final 6,000 PI calls. It shows category-wise counts immediately after the minimum-percentile phase.

Phase-1 screened
17,227

Total visible candidates after Step 1 minimum percentile requirement.

OT after Step 1
14,280

DA after Step 1

ST1,3818.02%
Others (OT)14,28082.89%
DA2001.16%
Total17,227100%
Why this matters: if someone wants to understand how IIM Shillong compresses the pool before the final shortlist, this preliminary-screening RTI is more valuable than the clean programme summary RTI.

3) Academic Discipline-wise Grouping Used for PI Shortlist

This section comes from the uploaded preliminary-screening RTI. It is useful because IIM Shillong explicitly shortlists through academic-discipline grouping and composite score, not CAT percentile alone.

Category-wise candidate grouping across academic disciplines

Academic Discipline EWS SC ST OT DA Total
AC1158731771,453221,883

AC2: 0.490
AC3: 0.365

Important interpretation: the uploaded preliminary-screening RTI clearly says minimum CAT percentile of shortlisted candidates category-wise or discipline-wise is not compiled separately, because shortlisting is based on composite score, not CAT percentile alone.

4) Final Offered Composite Score Range

This is the most useful score table for actual conversion analysis. It shows the minimum and maximum final composite score among offered candidates.

EWS: M 36.6380 to 47.49343 | F 36.05407 to 55.44739

Student use case: if you want the most practical score reference for final conversion, this is the section to benchmark against — not the AWAT line, because the RTI replies explicitly say AWAT scores were not compiled.

5) Final Offers and Final Accepted Count

This section shows actual offer depth and final class formation. It is one of the most practical parts of the RTI data for serious admission analysis.

2025-27 final offers vs final accepted

Category Final offers Final accepted Acceptance rate from offers
ST1042221.15%
SC2406326.25%
EWS1324231.82%
Others (OT)1,12526423.47%
DA461226.09%
Total1,64740324.47%

2024-26 final offers vs final accepted

Category Final offers Final accepted Acceptance rate from offers
ST51917.65%
SC1914221.99%
EWS1494026.85%
Others (OT)1,34530922.97%
DA41921.95%
Total1,77740022.51%
Quick read: despite slightly lower final offers in 2025-27 than in 2024-26, the final accepted count is slightly higher in the latest cycle: 403 versus 400. That improves the overall offer-to-join rate marginally.
Deferment: both uploaded PGP RTI replies say IIM Shillong does not have a deferment policy.

6) Waitlist Movement

This is one area where the uploaded RTI replies differ sharply. The older 2024-26 RTI provides category-wise waitlist movement, but the newer 2025-27 RTI says the data was not maintained / not calculated.

2025-27

No maintained waitlist data

The uploaded 2025-27 RTI reply says waitlist data is not maintained and not calculated for the academic year 2025.

Important limitation: do not treat the old waitlist table as a fixed future predictor. The current official admission-policy PDF also says that the number of waitlist offers depends on available seats and that no cutoff overall score is recorded when a shortlist or waitlist is announced.

7) Class Composition Snapshot

The 2025-27 RTI reply also gives the latest accepted class composition by category and gender.

8) Additional Uploaded RTI: Refund and Fee-Withdrawal Snapshot

This is an extra value-add from the attached documents. It is not shortlist data, but it helps students understand post-offer churn and fee-withdrawal behaviour.

Batch year 2023

PGP refund applications: 23
PGP refunded amount: approximately ₹92 lakh
Unutilized fees: not applicable because the reply states fees are refunded after withdrawal.

Batch year 2024

PGP refund applications: 15
PGP refunded amount: approximately ₹55 lakh
PGPEx refund applications: 1
PGPEx refunded amount: approximately ₹9 lakh

Why this matters: refund data gives a more realistic picture of candidate churn after an initial confirmation, especially when students hold multiple converts across top B-schools.

9) Current Official IIM Shillong PGP Policy Snapshot (2026-28)

Keep this section separate from the RTI history above. This part is based on the current official IIM Shillong admissions and programme pages.

FAQ

Only the practical questions students usually ask around IIM Shillong PGP RTI data.

Does IIM Shillong publish shortlist composite score for AWAT and PI through RTI?

The uploaded RTI replies say IIM Shillong does not compile AWAT scores, and there is no minimum or maximum composite score recorded for AWAT. The stronger score reference for students is the final offered composite score table.

Is there clean waitlist movement data for IIM Shillong PGP 2025-27?

No. The uploaded 2025-27 RTI reply says waitlist data is not maintained and not calculated for the academic year 2025. The older 2024-26 RTI reply, however, does share category-wise waitlist movement.

Is IIM Shillong shortlist based only on CAT percentile?

Not according to the uploaded preliminary-screening RTI. It says shortlisting is not based on CAT percentile alone and that the institute records composite score, not minimum CAT percentile category-wise or discipline-wise for shortlist.

What should I check first on this page?

Start with the latest shortlist table, then move to the final offered composite score and the final offer versus final accepted section. If you want the deeper shortlist mechanics, check the preliminary-screening and academic-discipline sections.

Need this same RTI format for other MBA colleges too?

This page is structured the way serious students search: shortlist first, shortlist mechanics second, final offered score next, then offers, class composition, waitlist and official current policy.
